Takayama (23/26-Sep)

After visiting many big towns, we finally decided to see something else from Japan... a littl town in the Japanese Alps named Takayama, very famous and touristic.

Well as I said Takayama is a nice little town, with several nice old streets, full of tourists... and of sake brewery. This was a more place where we rested than a place where we visited. I mean that we've been walking around downtown, sampling some local dishes, enjoying nice and funny restaurants (the ones where you have to sit on the ground... and in which you are always uncomfortable), walking around see some temples (again...), went to see old houses from Japan (quite untypical actually.. It looked like some old gaul village). But still appart from that it's dead... At 8pm it's kind of tricky to find a restaurant, strangely. I mean I still don't understand how this can be possible. I mean it's not anywhere in Japan, it's a place where you meet plenty of tourists (Japanese or Europeans)... so where do they eat?

Afterwards we came back to Tokyo for one day, and the next day I brought my mom to the airport... so now it's alone in Japan!
